Two Jews came to Holy Prophet ﷺ and mentioned about the Allah’s saying (ولقد اتینا موسی تسع) and kissed Prophet’s ﷺ hands and feet but the Prophet ﷺ didn’t forbid.
To kiss parents’ feet is legal Islamically. It is proved with many hadith.
1- The famous hadith of delegation of Abdul Qais that is in Abu Daood, its words are as follows: (لما قدمنا المدینتہ فجعلنا نتبا در من رواحلنا ید النبی) Translation: when we came to Medina, then we hurriedly came out of our rides and started to kiss Holy Prophet’s ﷺ hands and feet. In Aoun ul Mabood Sharah Abu Daood: (و فی الحدیث دلیل علی جواز تقبیل الارجل)
2- likewise there is hadith in Trimzi Sharef that Two Jews came to Holy Prophet ﷺ and mentioned about the Allah’s saying (ولقد اتینا موسی تسع) and kissed Prophet’s ﷺ hands and feet but the Prophet ﷺ didn’t forbid. فقبلا یدیہ و رجلیہ و قالا نشھد انک نبی
3- in Fatha al Bari Sharef: (ان عمر رضی اللہ عنہ قام الی النبی ﷺ فقبل یدہ).
4- In hadith Barida رضی اللہ عنہا there is incident of an Arabian that he requested to be given the permission to kiss Holy Prophet’s ﷺ head and feet then the Prophet ﷺ gave the permission (ائذن لی ان اقبل راسک و رجلیک فاذن لہ.
5- To kiss a non- prophet’s hand and feet is also proved. Hazrat Ali رضی اللہ عنہا kissed Hazrat Abbas’ رضی اللہ عنہا hands and feetقبل ید العباس رضی اللہ عنہ ورجلہ ان علیا
6- (عن ثابت انہ قبل ید انس رضی اللہ عنہ) Fatah Al Bari sharah Bukhari.
7- Hazrat Salma bin Aku رضی اللہ عنہا pulled out his hands and people kissed it (اخرج لنا سلمتہ بن الا کوع رضی اللہ عنہ کفالہ ضخمتہ لانھا کف بعیر فقمنا الیھا فقبلنا ھا) Fatah Al Bari sharah Bukhari.
8- Allama Sindhi Ibn e Maja wrote that: (قولہ و رجلیہ فیہ جواز تقبیل الرجلین).
9- A scholar of hadith wrote in Tohfat ul Ahwazi sharah Trimzi: (والحدیث یدل علی جواز تقبیل الید و الرجل ) Tohfat ul Ahwazi jamia Trimzi.
10- In Marat ul Mafabeh sharah Mashkat ul Masabeh: (والحدیث یدل علی جواز تقبیل الید و الرجل).
11- Allama Shami رضی اللہ عنہا (الجنتہ تحت اقدام الامھات) (Heaven is there under mother’s feet) wrote while illustrating this hadith: (قولہ: تحت رجل امک ھو فی معنی حدیث الجنتہ تحت اقدام الامھات و لعل المراد منہ و اللہ تعالی اعلم تقبیل رجلھا او ھو لنایتہ عن التواضع لھا و اطلقت الجنتہ علی سبب دخولھا) Shamia Jeem 6, page200. To kiss hands and feet is proved from Prophet’s ﷺ speeches, Prophet’s ﷺ companions’ رضوان اللہ اجمعین speeches and their deeds rather Allama Shami said to kiss mother’s feet is proved by Prophet ﷺ’s saying (Arabic Text).
